JULIANNA MCKANNIS: a LIFE ON THE FRONT LINES

Julianna McKannis was born the daughter of an 11-term senator from Nebraska and one of Hollywood's most talented writer/actor/producers who later became Secretary General of the United Nations. She was born into abject poverty, and rose to her current stature based on her innate intelligence, hunger for truth, and sheer ambitiousness. She attended Harvard, Oxford, and the Sorbonne, has fenced in the Olympics for Austria, and has written best-selling books about the production of fine wines, the democratization of post-communist countries, and agribusiness. Her three volumes of poetry have won her the Nobel Prize for Peace, and she is writing a seven-part magical fantasy due out next year that already has a movie deal. She currently lives in Australia with her husband, a union organizer in Aboriginal communities, and their 14 adopted children, frequently commuting to New York City to work for Onion News Network, where she stays with her close friend and mentor, Clifford Baines.
